Based on the cross-platform Electron platform, Visual Studio Code runs on Windows, OS X, and Linux, supporting .Net and JavaScript development. Since April the preview has seen more than a million downloads. Microsoft is now moving Code into beta and providing source code on GitHub. The beta release will also add extensibility, with support for the new Visual Studio Marketplace and nearly 100 extensions at launch.
Microsoft is thinking further about the future of Visual Studio. "We're talking about a new approach to acquiring the IDE that doesn't rely so much on a big multigigabyte download," Harry said. "Instead it's a much more minimal core, then you stream down the complements you want to use." He compares it to working with tools like Node.js and its npm package manager: "If you're a Node developer you do npm to get what you want. So here you get the core Visual Studio and add the packages you want for the kind of development you do."
HIV/AIDS remains one of the major global human health challenges, especially in resource-limited environments. By 2017, over 77.3 million people were infected with the disease, and approximately 35.4 million individuals had already died from AIDS-related illnesses. Approximately 21.7 million people were accessing ART with significant clinical outcomes. However, numerous challenges are experienced in the delivery and accurate interpretation of data on patients with HIV data by various health care providers at different care levels. Mobile health (mHealth) technology is progressively making inroads into the health sector as well as medical research. Different mobile devices have become common in health care settings, leading to rapid growth in the development of downloadable software specifically designed to fulfill particular health-related purposes.
The dynamic and exponential growth of economical mobile phones with sufficient built-in resources has been experienced worldwide today [1]. Business systems can currently leverage the strength of smartphones to affect long-distance transactions and undertake business consultations off-site robustly and accurately at low operating costs [2]. Mobile technology has progressively found vital utility in various health care platforms globally [3]. After the introduction of the first cellular phone by Motorola in the 1990s [4], faster processors, improved storage spaces, smaller longer life batteries, and superefficient mobile operating systems have been invented, paving avenues for wide useful application developments [5]. Mobile phones have become a common device in health care settings. This has in effect led to the proliferation of small self-contained pieces of downloadable software. Numerous medical software apps are now available to assist different health care professionals with many tasks, such as health record maintenance, time management, patient management and monitoring, clinical decision making, medical education and training, and online diagnosis [6]. In the recent past, mobile health (mHealth) has been used instrumentally to address various mental conditions [7], such as substance abuse disorders [8], depression [9], psychosis [10], and suicide. This and other related mHealth-based systematic reviews give an indication of the very positive future of human health care via smartphones [11,12].
What do you like best about the product? Is really easy to configure, let you choose and customize lot of parameters and specs from the virtual android device (virtual machine). What do you dislike about the product? In the old days, it was more complicated to install google services on the virtual device. You had to download them from opengapps and flash them into the device. Now is way easier, there is a gapp button included on the menu, and it will do it all for you. What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Sometimes you don't want to use a physical device for testing. Usb cables and stuff around you, could be just annoying. It's way more faster to just debug on a emulated device, and Genymotion let you do just that.
What do you like best about the product?I use Genymotion for a long time. Best is that it does not consume much memory compare to Native Android emulators. What do you dislike about the product? Each phone image is larger to download. Other than that nothing to dislike in that app. What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?I test my android apps in Genymotion before I release it to public. I can able to test all kinds of devices such as Samsung, Pixels and etc in Genymotion.
What do you like best about the product?Genymotion is one of the best emulators available for Android. The best attraction of Genymotion is that it uses less amount of RAM compared to Android Emulators that we download from Android Studio. The most intuitive thing is that it gives more control over how and what you want in your emulator. For example it can simulate the WiFi or 2G connection as well as fake GPS location. Also it has so many options to customize the virtual device OS, display resolution, performance etc. What do you dislike about the product? The little downside of Genymotion is that it doesn't come with Google Play Services bundled with it, you need to add Open GApps manually. It takes some months to get a newly release Android OS in Genymotion. What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?As a professional app developer, I have been using Genymotion for all of my development, debugging and testing. It really smoothens the process of development rather than using physical device. We're mainly using Genymotion for GPS location spoofing to test different location based apps and throttle internet speed to evaluate the app's behaviour in low speed internet connections.Recommendations to others considering the product:If you're looking for a fast and convenient way for Android app testing and debugging, go for Genymotion. It is especially useful when you've requirements to test your app which islocation based as it has a great tool to spoof GPS location. Also, if you've low hardware specs, you won't be able to run the Android Emulator that is shipped with Android Studio, but Genymotion will work for you.
What do you like best about the product?Genymotion is very easy to use to begin with. It also gives developers access to different devices of different android versions that consumes less ram than android avds in android studio. Genymotion also lets me to easily set dummy device location while testing location aware mobile applications. What do you dislike about the product?Genymotion is the best alternative to the slow android avds in android studio. It saves me time so I would only reccommend it to those still using android studio avds instead of genymotion. What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?I have used Genymotion in building, debugging and testing android applications. Its easy to integrate with the current version of android studio, its fast not like the android emulators thats comes with android studio, its easy to add new devices and its also easy to install gapps.Recommendations to others considering the product:If you are looking for a faster android emulator to test, build and debugg android applications just go for genymotion. Its faster and easily integrates with android studio. In short am just trying to help you save time and increase productivity. 781b155fdc
